金石教授论文获选杂志《Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences》“2019最佳论文”

        近日,上海交通大学自然科学研究院/数学科学学院、科学工程计算教育部重点实验室成员金石教授论文获选杂志《Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences》“2019最佳论文”。

       该论文于2019年5月发表,由金石教授和他指导的博士生房迪以及首尔国立大学的Seung-Yeal Ha教授合作撰写,论文题目为《Emergent behaviors of the Cucker–Smale ensemble under attractive–repulsive couplings and Rayleigh frictions》

      本文讨论了具有吸引-排斥耦合作用,可能还受到瑞利摩擦作用的两个同质Cucker-Smale(简写为CS)系综的相互作用问题,并研究了导致双簇集群的三个充分条件的框架,其中两个子系综演化为彼此远离的两个集群。这项研究拓展了先前有关CS系综相互作用问题的工作,同时还进行了一些数值实验,并将其与理论结果进行比较。

     《Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences》(M3AS)创办于1991年,该期刊关注领域涵盖物理学,数学物理学,自然科学和技术科学等,旨在为从事应用科学的科学家搭建交流平台。在过去二十年中,《Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences》在在Web of Science“应用数学”列表中排名前10%;过去十年稳定在前5%,五年影响因子为3.395。

Prof. Shi Jin’s paper was selected as one of the Best Papers in 2019 pushlished at Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences. Published in May 2019, the paper was jointly written by Professor Seung-Yeal Ha from Seoul National University and Dr.Di Fang, a former Ph.D. student of Prof. Shi Jin. The title of the paper is “Emergent behaviors of the Cucker–Smale ensemble under attractive–repulsive couplings and Rayleigh frictions”.

In this paper, we revisit an interaction problem of two homogeneous Cucker–Smale (in short CS) ensembles with attractive–repulsive couplings, possibly under the effect of Rayleigh friction, and study three sufficient frameworks leading to bi-cluster flocking in which two sub-ensembles evolve to two clusters departing from each other. This work extends the previous work on the interaction problem of CS ensembles. They also conduct several numerical experiments and compare them with their theoretical results.

《Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences》was founded in 1991,covers the research field of Physics, Mathematical Physics, Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences, etc. The purpose of the journal is to build a communication platform for scientists engaged in applied sciences. M3AS has been ranked in the first 10% of the journals in the WEB OF SCIENCE list of “MATHEMATICS, APPLIED” in the last twenty years. And over the past decade M3AS was in the first 5% of that list. 5-Year Impact Factor of M3AS is 3.395.
