The Linear Stability of the Elliptic Relative Equilibrium of Restricted 4-Body Problem via Index Theory

In N-body problems, elliptic relative equilibrium are a class of the
special homograpic solutions whose configurations do not change up to
rotation and homothety. In my talks, I will discuss the linear
stability of elliptic relative equilibrium of the restricted 4-body problem where
the three primaries form a Lagrangian equilateral triangle. We found
the full bifurcation diagram of linearly stable and unstable regions with
respect to two mass parameters and the eccentricity of the elliptic
orbits via the $\omega$-Maslov index theory. This is a joint work with
Dr. Qinglong ZHOU.
