Title: 0-Hecke algebra actions on quotients of polynomial rings
The representation theory of the symmetric group is fascinating and has rich connections with combinatorics. Many important representations of the symmetric group can be obtained by taking quotients of the polynomial ring. In this talk I will present analogous representations of a deformation of the symmetric group algebra called the 0-Hecke algebra, and discuss the combinatorial properties of these 0-Hecke representations. Part of this work is joint with Brendon Rhoades (University of California San Diego).
