Title: Flow equivalence of shifts of finite type and Cuntz-Krieger algebras II: Classifications and beyond
In Part II, we will revisit the long history of research on the flow equivalence classification of SFT and the classifications of CK-algebras, including many ground-breaking results by leading mathematicians in each area. We will see the intense interplay and mutual inspiration during this period, which finally resulted in complete classifications for all SFT’s (flow equivalence) and all stable (some unital) CK-algebras in the 1990-2000’s. Finally, we will look at some new developments, such as flow equivalence of sofic shifts and the “external classifications” of more general nonsimple $C^*$-algebras using the filtered K-theory that is similar to the K-web of Bowen-Franks groups for reducible SFT’s.
